The Annual Return is being replaced by a “Confirmation Statement” which is much shorter and confirms that the information held by Companies House is correct.
Effective from 30 June 2016, the intention is to avoid the having to resubmit information that is already held by Companies House. The statement includes the provision of updated information about people with significant control and, as Companies House does not already have this information, it will need to be provided with the first statement after June 2016.
